09/12/21 Singing September Workshops: Day 1

We started off Singing September in the best way possible with our guest singer: Haha Shi! She kept the class engaged and excited throughout her whole workshop. We started out by asking what their favorite Disney song was to prepare them for the class. After that, we played a group Kahoot to test how well students knew their Disney songs. We then warmed up our vocal cords with different strategic exercises like "siren." We then talked about different types of voices: Belting and head voice. Once we classified and learned the vocabulary, we looked at different Disney songs and identified the type of singing throughout the song. The song we focused on was from Repunzel called When Will My Life Begin?
